It will also channel the community energy to preserve and manage and also value the heritage as collective responsibility. This would also emphasis that irrespective of which ethnic/ religious root reflects these cultural and historical property it is nevertheless be viewed as part of  overall Sri Lankan heritage and therefore it is the collective responsibility of the immediate community to preserve and respect it.

Lakisha Fernando was born in Colombo, 1980. She had her university education at the University of Kelaniya where she graduated with a BFA. At present she is following diploma psychology.

She has involved in teaching on art as well as teacher for kids,adults and special kids .She is a coordinator of women’s program and member of the Theertha International Artists Collective, progressive artists led art organization which organizers the Theertha international art workshops as well as number of art events in Sri Lanka and international.
