International Art Program

by theertha_ak last modified 2008-08-12 05:30

fathimath.jpgTheertha Interantional Art Program has two objectives in mind. One is to provide opportunities for Sri Lankan artists’ community to benefit from the art exchanges with international artists and the other is to give maximum exposure to Sri Lankan art in international art forums by building awareness through art promotion activities.

Over a period of eight years Theertha has greatly expanded their international and regional artists exchange program activities. One could see that due to the emphasis given for greater mobility  of artists by building art networks internationally, forthcoming funding  and  experience gained through years of facilitating artists' exchange     Theertha has been able to make their   international art program consistent  and specifically suite to the local needs.

Theertha International Program include 3 categories of activities:

·          Holding international art exchange programs through Art Workshops and Art Residencies

·          Art networking through developing links with regional and international art groups/ institutions and art personalities

·          Collaborating/ coordinating on international art events that promote Sri Lankan art.
