Sobitha Wimalajeewa, Photo, 2011.

Sobitha Wimalajeeva's work tries to dissect the human head as a metaphysical and physical activity. He works on the assumption that there is an entirely different state of mind within a head from what is expressed from the outside of a face.  I have a desire to read further than what is expressed by the contorted face.  I see the disparity of what is within to what is shown outside especially in different social, political, cultural contexts.
