• Monographs: A series monographs on Sri Lankan art history and world art history in local languages (Tamil/ Sinhala)
Theertha publishes a a series of monogrphas on Sri Lankan art and world art history in local languages to supplement and facilitate art education demarcated by the art curriculum in schools as well as an attempt to provide additional information on world art history. These books are made available to students, art teachers and school libraries. The program was funded by the Ford Foundation grant in 2005-2007
• Upasthathiwadaya
:
A book on impressionism in Sinhala tracing its historical
context and its relevance in reading Sri Lankan art history was
authored by artist and archeologist Prof. Jagath Weerasinghe. A useful
handbook for the art student the book tries to do a critical reading of
impressionism that goes beyond the mere reading of art history. The
publication of Upasthathiwadaya was made possible by the Hivos grant in 2003.
